Congrats to Mary Nora Dickson for passing her advancement exam! We have another PhD Candidate in the lab!
♦ Elena wins Best Poster at SCSMM
Elena Liang received the Best Poster Award at the Southern California Society for Microscopy and Microanalysis Symposium on Feb. 7th. Elena presented her work on “Selective Cell Adhesion on Nanotopography.”
Emma also did a great job on her oral presentation as well! Congrats to both!
♦ Welcome Anisha and Luis to the lab!
We welcome to the group Anisha Hegde, a Junior in Biomedical Engineering, and Luis Rodriguez, a Senior in Biomedical Engineering, to the group.
♦ Welcome Kuangyi Zhao to the lab!
Kuangyi Zhao joins the lab as the new Master’s student in Materials Science and Engineering. She obtained her undergraduate degree at Nanjing University and plans to research nanofabrication of nanopillars on curved surfaces. Welcome!
♦ Susan Wu earns her Master’s degree!
Susan Wu graduated with her M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering! She will begin a new appointment in the lab as a Junior Specialist.
♦ Yee lab wins Triumvirate grant from UCI ICTS
Our team consisting of Dr. Marjan Farid and Dr. M. Cristina Kenney at the UCI Medical School, working on Selective Cell Adhesion on Nanotopography for an Artificial Cornea has been awarded the Triumvirate grant from the UCI Institute for Clinical and Translational Medicine. We are thrilled to have this opportunity to make a difference!
